About Us

Margo Lightbody, CRGS, CRVS
Owner and Operator

Margo has been a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer in Calgary for over 20 years and is registered with Sonography Canada.  She has worked in both the private and public sectors and recently spent a year working in New Zealand.  Prior to her Ultrasound career Margo worked for Alberta Health Services as a Respiratory Therapist at 2 of Alberta’s main trauma centres.  Her love for animals, vast health care experience and entrepreneurial spirit has led her to start Ultrasound To Go Incorporated.  Sharing her knowledge of ultrasound to the veterinary community is a dream come true.

Margo has attended small animal ultrasound courses through Scil’s Vet Academy earning over 100 CE’s.  She is a lab assistant in the scan labs of their Basic, FAST and Intermediate courses.  Scil contracts Ultrasound To Go for training of their GE ultrasound equipment for Veterinarians across Alberta.

Jake,
Client and Companion

Jake was a Cockamo…… Cocker Spaniel and Miniature American Eskimo.  He was part of Margo’s family for 14 years.  He loved the water and chasing balls even more!  He grew up close to a golf driving range, the record was 14 golf balls found on a single walk 🙂

Lexi,

The newest addition to our family.  Lexi is half Bernese Mountain Dog and half Labradooldle. We stumbled upon her while shopping for a tent trailer. She is girl 6 of 10 pups locally bred in Airdrie.  We had an immediate connection when we met her and she has brought so much life to our house!

Leo,

Adopted from Meow Foundation, Leo is keeping us on our toes and a great snuggle buddy for Lexi. We love watching him do his “cat” things!!
